1. Best Hawaiian Sea Salt

   I bought this to refill my "Pepper and Hawaiian Salt" grinder that I bought on a trip to Hawaii a few years ago. It was the BEST souvenir from that trip and I used it every day at home in Oregon. I like that I can buy the coarse salt to refill the grinder (I use my own favorite Tellicherry peppercorns.)

   I bought this the first time when I was in Hawaii. I got it home and LOVED it. I hoarded it and stretched it to make it last a long time. Then I replaced it with a new one, and this time I bought two! Some things I just won't cook without it. I do think the shipping shouldn't be so much for a small, lightweight item. But I can't say enough good about it.

   Perfect for making Kalua Pig in Colorado!

   We use this for so many dishes -- my favorite is Kalua Pork. This salt just enhances flavors!

6. Five star quality, but coarse is not very coarse

   I love this salt! I am disappointed with my most recent order though. The 'coarse grain' was too fine for a salt grinder. This order, the course grain I received is not much bigger than the fine grained, by eyeball. It is medium grained at most.

   I was introduced to red Hawaiian salt at my son's house and took to it immediately. It was subtle. I loved it as a seasoning especially on fish. It was never overbearing. Then I discovered Aloha that sold at reasonable prices with fast and efficient service. And they had refills. A match made in heaven.
